The percentage of vinyl to digital is about 50-50 according to Rich and as my DJ friends are all digital these days I?m definitely interested in experiencing a taste of the old school. Speaking of old school I?m assuming I?m not the only 20-something out there who doesn?t know as much as he or she could about electronic music. As it turns out house music actually goes even further back than the ?90s. Sheesh are we getting into oldies here? According to Wikipedia this style was directly influenced by disco in the ?70s and ?80s and usually has a strong bass line and up-tempo beats made for dancing. Don?t forget the black female vocalist.

Youth Music Box allows four people – of any age and musical ability – to play electronic instruments and collaborate on digital music projects. Finished pieces are uploaded to a music sharing website. The system has been developed by music charity Youth Music and was unveiled at London’s Southbank Centre on Friday. It will remain in the capital until September when it will travel to Bristol and then Gateshead. The project is to celebrate the 10th birthday of the Lottery-funded charity which exists to get children up to the age of 18 interested in music.
