Multiplayer is available for every song off and online in cooperative and competitive modes. “With any music game our goal is to make sure that everybody has something in there that they want” says Townsend. “We went for a lot of variety of the music styles with hip-hop and electronic rap and pop. But we’re also not painting ourselves into a corner by focusing on only one of those. DJ Hero will let you plug in a USB microphone in case you know an emcee who wants to add a little vocal flavor to your performance. Ten songs will also allow a second player to connect a guitar peripheral and perform these DJ mixes with a more familiar accessory. We’ll have lots more on DJ Hero at E3.

He formed Paxahau as apassion project in the late 90s. The side project turned into full-time gig and eventually afull-time start-up. Today Paxahau employs 10 people 20 interns and since 2006 has run Detroit’s electronic music festival.
Tower music ring tribute to UW-Green Bay’s first chancellor

The three-sided bronze-coated tower at UW-Green Bay will be topped by a 36-inch single bell shell (for aesthetics only). More than two hundred Flemish bell harmonies and eight bell chimes will be programmable to operate daily or be set for special ceremonies. The electronic carillon also comes with a 61-note keyboard for recording an eight-bell package of liturgical bells and a microphone input. The carillon will be installed with 420 pre-recorded melodies with room for additional selections. At least some of the music will be Weidner favorites including his University?s alma mater and fight song. Cheryl Grosso composed a chime melody that will be played on the hour every hour.

With this year’s tight budget any gap is worrisome. When it comes to local music and lifestyle events Karen DaVanzo at Beyond Marketing Group has seen her sponsorship budget from Scion cut by about 25 percent. The car company sponsors a number of events usually tied to the electronic music scene. “Everyone’s getting hit hard by the economy” DaVanzo says adding that she tells people upfront about the cuts. “I feel really fortunate that our clients still have the budget” to support events. Before the downturn some event organizers would turn down Scion sponsorships if DaVanzo couldn’t offer them the dollars they wanted. “Right now no one’s really walking away.

When pressed he said he listens a lot to John Mayer The Killers and JackJohnson. “Before qualifying or a race I like to listen to Era” he added. “It’smore instrumental but it really helps me to concentrate.
