17 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. “When we first came out people didn’t take women in pop seriously like we’re contrived” Jess says. Adds Lisa: “We’ve been singing forever (since age 5) and we do write our own music.
Music Review: Mistabishi

As a former office worker the inspiration for Printer Jam camefrom Mistabishi’s desire to lampoon the drudgery of office life. Ata time when many people are becoming former finance workers thisalbum could not have come at a better time for him it wouldseem. Moving on from our broken office equipment Lean combinesharmonies with an electro sound surprisingly well and he shows abit of range with the minimal View From Nowhere. Minimal comparedto the rest of the album anyway. Next up is Drop a token dubstep tune. It seems more and moredrum and bass producers are having a go at this new fandangleddubstep thing. Unfortunately I’m not sure Mistabishi really pullsit off.
Magenta’s “Art and Accidents” To Get North American Release
Metal Underground
The band has steadfastly refused to be stereotyped and likes to work outside of the conventional genre definitions using elements that include rock pop metal trip hop electro techno industrial new wave gothic acoustic psychedelic trance and film music. dden best summed it up his creation like this: ?MAGENTA is my playground where I can be as diverse and melodic as I want. Not being tied to any particular genre definition means we don?t have to restrict ourselves too narrowly and allows us all to make the kind of music we feel like making at any given time. We all have a lot of musical experience in many genres and as individuals we work with amazingly diverse types of artists both in the studio and live and each of us brings something a bit unique to the mix. ??Art and Accidents? includes guest appearances by GTHMINISTER Jonas Groth and Stu Manx from GLUECIFER and Angel and Geir from APPTYGMA BERZERK and is complemented by the release of two specially commissioned videos by Sandra Jensen for the track ?Darkest Dream. ?Here is the ?Art And Accidents? track listing:01.
Music: Erasure – Total Pop!

Their golden age lasted from the late ?80s to the mid-?90s and it?s been an odd career trajectory since: The Loveboat album (which was more like Titanic career-wise) an ill-advised covers album titled ther People?s Songs and Union Street their very odd album of country and western versions. These releases have not added up to critical acclaim. Erasure?s music has not necessarily become bad per se it just seems to stand still in time with no noticeable forward progression. Claims of being creatively stagnant are not far off the mark with their last challenging interesting release being 1995?s self-titled ambient project produced by Thomas Fehlmann of The rb. Bell?s recent solo outing Electric Blue was a fantastic effort which perhaps only served to highlight the musical prison that Erasure has become. Erasure has always been a singles band anyway and compilations are where they shine.
Emerald Jewels: Celebrating Real Irish Culture
Express from The Washington Post
The sheer breadth of U2′s work is staggering; from their early days as a post-punk outfit in Dublin they have spent more than 20 years creating anthemic albums with political and religious messages reinventing themselves along the way. Although it’s not a patch on their 1987 album “The Joshua Tree” the ultra-political “War” gives a better feel for Ireland in the ’80s. » Euro:♣.
