Cons: Largely unresponsive media keys poor quality earphones
NEWS.com.au – Jun 1, 2008
We found the earphones to be of quite poor quality. Music reproduction was inaccurate and exaggerated low- and mid-range frequencies drowned out most other sound. This was particularly noticeable in songs with male vocals and acoustic music though dance and electronic music tended to benefit slightly from this flaw. We also noticed an unacceptable level of distortion was apparent when the mobile phone was pushed to full volume a result of the earphones themselves rather than the device. Given the price point of the device it is a minor quibble.

The insider: Rousing and arousing – the story and the glory of pop
Telegraph.co.uk – Jun 1, 2008
Pop is good for introducing surrealism into a mainstream world. In the 1980s Morrissey was writing pop songs fraught with influence – he just knew that a four- minute pop song could take living signs of the Velvets Marvin Gaye Joe Orton Billy Fury and Sparks and in This Charming Man he imagined a probing northern Carry On film directed by Fassbinder. Recently rubbing out the level male greyness of Britpop the glittering obedient Sugababes as manufactured as Tommy Steele or the Bay City Rollers have made electronic music that’s sugary silver and a little bit science fiction. Pop is good for subverting expectation. Pop is good for making up lists of your favourite songs which express something about your personality and ego and ultimately the type of trousers haircut make-up and even car that you like. It is good for helping you make yourself up. Whatever your favourite pop songs are they tell a story about your life and the lives of others and the history you’ve lived through and a future you’re hoping for.
